Observation date: June 11, 2022
Submitted by: DeepSkyKelly
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: I'm a bit surprised by the size of the inner white spots on the upper wing, but everything else fits with a Common Sootywing. It looks like there's a fair amount of variation in pattern within the species.

Coordinator notes: the number and size of white spotting can be quite variable with common and Mexican. In truth, these two cannot be differentiated from dorsal alone, but "common" is an uncontroversial ID, so let's go with that.
