Verified date: February 28, 2024
Coordinator notes: Alison: This is a species that overwinters in the Kern Deserts and even in the Sierra Nevada-Ken Davenport Mexican Yellows occasionally show up (Jim Brock has records) but I have never seen them in Kern or Tulare Counties. Dainty Sulphurs turn up regularly in the Kern River Valley and last year even on the Sherman Pass Rd. and one Sleepy Orange at lower Alder Creek on the Cherry Hill Road.
