Observation notes: Caterpillar observed on the Arroyo Trail among western hackberry trees, photographed on-trail then by placing it on a light-colored rock. This caterpillar species and another I previously posted were observed being captured by a towhee from the top of a western hackberry tree further up-trail. The day was hot, sunny, and windy.
