Observation notes: Habitat was upland meadow/tall grass prairie with some lower potholes about a quarter mile away. Small...about the size of a Peck's. I'm thrown off by the very bold chevron pattern on the ventral HW. The pattern on visible portion of the ventral FW wouldn't fit a Sachem, and the individual was much smaller in size. I'm leaning towards possibly a Crossline or Tawny-edged, however I've never seen a HW pattern that bold in either species, particularly in the latter. Unfortunately the individual wouldn't open its wings to get another perspective before it flew off. Curious on your thoughts...

Coordinator notes: Nice example of light-colored variant male. The ventral hindwing chevron & the "double-like' fringes show up well in this variant.
