Observation notes: Found as a cocoon on Thuja occidentalis on 4/17. Cocoon was spun near the tip of a leaflet and was quite conspicuous. Based on Charley Eiseman's Leafminers of North America this keys to A. canadensis mainly because of the color of the cocoon which is white mottled with brown. Adult eclosed 5/8. third image shows exit hole in cocoon. Last image is from the day the cocoon was found.
