Observation notes: Found in grass and dried leaves most prominent plants around are maple trees and grass weather on day found was clear warm with cool breeze and sunny and dry, caterpillar was found exactly as it looks in photo same size color and dry we think it is an adult caterpillar not sure of species but are very curious to know and what type of butterfly or moth it will morph into we are hoping to keep it alive and watch it go through its cycle
